BOOKING QUESTIONS

What is included in the ticket price?

Ticket price includes; entry to the Reindeer Lodge, meet the reindeer, reindeer talks, donkey rides and fairground rides (*3 ride tokens per child included), Timed ticket entry into the Elf Stage Show and Santa's Grotto where each Child and Baby ticket holder receives an age appropriate gift.

I don't have Paypal, how do I book?

You don't need to have a Paypal account to make payment via credit/debit card. When you get to the PayPal checkout pages and it asks you to log into your PayPal account there is a smal text link under the login boxes which may say 'pay by card' or 'pay without creating an account'. Click that link to complete your payment without creating a PayPal account.

Do I need to print off my tickets?

You can print your tickets or show your booking on your phone or tablet at check in. We hold a full list of visitors due on the day.

I did not receive my booking confirmation/tickets, what should I do?

Please check your junk/spam email folder. If not please email us as it is often a miss keyed email address on booking.

I need to amend my booking, what do I do?

Please email us with your booking details and changes you would like to make. Any changes will be amended subject to terms and conditions.

Why do adults have to pay?

Although the Reindeer Lodge is focussed mainly for the entertainment of children, adults get to enjoy thier visit to, with meeting the reindeer, reindeer talks, fairground rides where accompanying a child with ride token, watching the stage show and visiting the grotto. Adults get to enjoy everything their children do with exception of receiving a grotto gift so prices are reflected accordingly.

Can we just turn up on the day?

Sorry it is pre-booked ticket holders only. We only allow enough families per entry time that Father Christmas can see within that timeslot.

Can I just come and see the Reindeer? I don't want to go into the Grotto.

We do only offer the package ticket for this event, however you are welcome to purchase one and just see the reindeer and visit the site if you wish without going into the grotto.

I don't have any children, can we still visit?

Yes, we do have quite a few adult only visitors who just bypass the grotto, but come to enjoy the attraction and enjoy the atmosphere.

Is the time I book online the time I need to arrive?

No, the ticket booking time is the time that you enter the Elf Stage Show before going through to the Grotto. Please arrive 1-hour before your booked ticket time to check in, see the reindeer and enjoy the rides and attractions. If you have booked a 9:30am show please arrive at 9am for check in and entry.

Can I just get a baby ticket for my child?- they are only a 1yr old.

If you book a baby ticket they will only receive a small gift that is suitable for a new born. We do have specific grotto presents for 1-2 year olds which are more age appropriate and the child tickets also include free tokens for the rides.

Do I need to add a baby ticket even though they are free?

Yes as we need to allocate gifts for the number of babies attending.

Do you have an upper age limit for a child’s ticket?

No, as long as they are still wanting a gift from Santa and 3 free ride tokens then please purchase a child ticket. We hold age suitable presents for all ages on a child ticket. You can choose to purchase an adult ticket for an older child if you wish but they will not receive a gift in the Grotto or receive any ride tokens.

Can I add more people to my booking?

Yes, even if a time slot is now showing fully booked you can add to your party before or on the day as it does not affect the number of families visits using the grotto.

Do you do discounts for group bookings, disabled or carers?

Sorry, we are only open on peak weekend dates and only offer our standard entry ticket prices for all visitors.

PARKING AND ACCESSIBILITY

Do you have Parking on site?

Yes we have FREE parking on site.

Are there baby changing facilities on site?

Yes, we have baby changing facilities on site.

My child has autism/ADHD, is there a quieter time to visit? Although we do get fully booked for most entry times to the Show and Grotto, there are usually lower visitor numbers on site during our first and last time slots for each day.

Is the site wheelchair friendly?

Although we are a hillside attraction set in woodland with slopes, we do try to make it as wheelchair/ pram friendly as possible. There are however some areas which are a little harder going due to woodchip or stone pathway surfacing. All access doors throughout the site are ramped and suitable widths and we do have disabled toilets on site. Sorry we do not have a swing/harness, nor do we hire mobility vehicles.

Do you have disabled parking?

Yes, we have allocated disabled parking which is close to our entrance. Please notify the parking attendants on entry if you require disabled parking, you may be asked to provide evidence / blue badge.

Is there any Public Transport?

Our nearest train station is Penyffordd. This is just under 10minutes drive away so we would recommend organising a taxi from the station if arriving by train.

DURING YOUR VISIT

What time should I arrive?

Please arrive 1-hour before your show and grotto ticket entry time (or 30minutes beforehand if you have booked a 9:30am show).

What time does the Reindeer Lodge open and close?

The Reindeer Lodge gates open at 9am, last entry to the lodge is the last time slot of the day, with the site closing to all visitors 90 minutes after the last time slot entry.

Do we need Wellies?

We are an outdoor attraction on a farm set in woodland in winter, but we do our utmost to keep all pedestrian areas and pathways clean. Suitable outdoor clothing is recommended and please dress warm.

Is it all outdoors?

It is an oudoor attraction but there are covered areas around the site and the Show and Grotto areas are all indoors.

Are dogs allowed on site?

We only allow assistance/guide dogs on site. Although the reindeer are ok with dogs there may be people onsite with dog phobias and there are some confined spaces.

How long does a visit last?

If you arrive up to 1 hour before your booked time slot we would expect most families to spend around 2 hours in total onsite.

Can we come more than an hour before our booked time slot? Yes you can, however we advise to arrive around 1 hour before your booked show/grotto time as this will give you plenty of time to see the reindeer and enjoy the rides an attractions on site.

Can we stay on site after we have seen Santa?

Yes you are more than welcome to stay after your grotto visit and can revist the reindeer, rides and attractions.

How long does the stage show last?

The elf stage show lasts approximately 20 minutes.

Is there food and drink on site?

Yes, we do have onsite catering serving both hot food and hot and cold drinks.

Do adults have to pay for the rides?

Adults do not pay for rides as long as they are accompanying a child that has a ride token.

Can we buy additional ride tokens?

Yes, extra rides tokens can be bought on the day if you want to go on more rides. Rides tokens are £3 each, 5 for £10.

How many tokens is it per ride?

The donkey and fairground rides are all 1 token per ride.

Can we pay by card onsite?

Yes there are card payment facilities on site. We do not have a cash machine or offer cashback.

Can we take our own photos?

Yes, you are more than welcome to take your own photos, we have plenty of photo opportunities during your visit and we do have professional photographers taking pictures which you can purchase, but you are not obliged to buy any.

How much are photos if we want to buy them?

Our photo prints in presentation sleeves are £7 for 1, 2 for £12 or 3 for £15.

Do we pay for reindeer food?

No, children may be offered a small amount of reindeer food to feed the reindeer. It is a limited amount for each child so the reindeer are not overfed and we reserve the right stop feeding at any point. The reindeer are on a closely monitored diet and can only be fed food that is provided by the Reindeer Lodge for the purpose of reindeer feeding.

Does Santa have a real beard?

He does not have a real beard, but we do use movie quality glue on beards which look very authentic.

Do we see Santa at the same time as other families?

No, although you watch the show and go through to the Toy Workshop as a larger group with other visitors, Father Christmas will see each family seperately.
